Here are my 9 Reasons Why Blogging Is Vital For MLM:

1. Authority

Blogging positions you as an authority figure. This is what will set you apart from the millions of other representatives / distributors in your company online. People get to know you and YOU are the brand. Prospects would rather join an authority figure rather than Joe Schmoe who contacts them out of the blue to join a business.

2. Open 24/7

Your blog is open all day and all night. While your sleeping, eating or on vacation. This means that people have access to YOU 24/7 even when you’re not there. Your blog is working for you as long as it’s up. I’ve been able to reach people in different time zones, across the world because my posts are available at any time during the day.

3. Rapport

Having a blog builds your credibility and rapport online. People will have a chance to get to know you in a non-confrontational way. They can take the time to check your blog out and when they contact you, it’s a HIGHLY qualified lead. People get to know you through your blog. People like to do business with people they KNOW, LIKE AND TRUST.

4. Your Online Real Estate

Social media can shut you down at any time. I know because it happened to me. I lost my first Facebook account with over 700+ contacts, my fanpage with over 500+ fans. I cannot access it back, I can’t see my old contacts to re-friend them. I learned my lesson and I’m no longer putting all my eggs in one basket. With social media’s constant rule changes, terms and conditions, it can be a challenge to keep up. Having a blog is like a piece of online real estate.

5. Multi-Purpose

Your blog can be used for many different things such as:

Generating leads for your MLM
Promoting affiliate products
Selling your own courses
Sharing general interest topics you may be passionate about
Educating your followers
Building an email list…

And so many different things. You have unlimited possibilities of what you can do.

6. Duplicable

Blogging is a duplicable online marketing strategy because you CAN teach your team members how to do it.
Another benefit to blogging is that you can answer your downline and team member questions by creating a post. Then sharing it whenever that same question comes up again.

This will leverage your time and energy. Plus it’s another bonus duplication method because your team can share it with their downline as far and as wide as they want.

7. Best Online Strategy

According to Ray Higdon, the #1 producer in his company and the #2 MLM blogger online, he says that blogging is THE best strategy to build your business.

Whether it is MLM, direct sales, or Joe Schmoe’s Online Balloon Emporium.

If you want to dominate your field, your business, stand out from all the other reps and distributors…blogging might be something to consider.

8. Global Reach

You can expand your reach and your impact globally through blogging. Your blog is accessible all around the world. At one point, most of my traffic was coming in from Germany (Wie geht’s!).

The benefit to a global reach is that you can build your network and your business all over the world.

This works to your advantage because currency exchange and political changes can have a huge impact on your team building. For example, if your entry/product fee is $300 US, it can end up being $400-600 more in other countries after factoring in shipping, handling, taxes…etc.

9. Attract Prospects

This is technically, the number one reason why blogging is vital for MLM. Being able to attract prospects and generate leads for your business. At some point, you’re going to run out of people to talk to. You then have to work on building your cold prospecting skills – or try to market online. When I started with my current company, I recently had a baby, so I did a bit of cold prospecting but it was a challenge when there’s a kid stuck to you 24/7. I had to find a more efficient way to reach out to people. I turned to the online world and well…here we are. You’re reading this post online.

My blog is doing all the work for me. Branding, building rapport, establishing credibility and generating leads while I’m spending time with my family.

THIS is the reason why. Because for me, it’s all about leverage – so that you can spend time with the ones you love.
